According to Saif Ali Khan the idea is to have open films between the two countries.I was proud that this film was to release there but now It is a shame that the movie is banned, with no offence to anyone.Saif Ali Khan further said that the heroine of the movie Kareena Kapoor is playing the role of a Pakistani girl and “Agent Vinod” has drawn references from the real-life tension between Pakistan and India.
Saif Ali Khan said that the movies is a realistic kind of a thriller and have shown a few most-wanted criminals, those that are harbored in Pakistan, which is a known fact. May be Pakistan have taken offense to that.According to Saif Ali Khan ,Pakistan forms a large portion of their audience and they wanted them to see the famous mujra performed by Kareena kapoor.The actor said that It is a shame that Pakistani people could not see the film Agent Vinod in the best way possible. But we tried our best.Agent Vinod releases in India on March 23.
